Myopia

inkjet print,100x70
2019

In this series of photos, the focus of the image is always at 70 cm approximately, that is at the distance of the photographer’s extended hand trying to “touch the landscape”. As if only at that distance the surrounding world could appear clear and visible, once the hand is removed from the frame, what is left is a blurry landscape.

Myopia  – which not only is physical but also psychological – affects the ability to “see the world”, influenced by the information given and taken as true.
